The advancement of construction technology, is creating an infinite supply of apartments
With the growth of reinforced concrete technology, people have been able to built skyscrapers that reach as far as the “blue cloud.” The Non-cable Elevator system using Hyperloop technology has just been announced in Germany on June,2017 promises to break the high limit of the “up-down” movement in the near future, making the taller buildings, able to get higher.
With the “Super Urban” crowded today, images of the “Skyscraper City” (skyscrapers) are no stranger; “Skyscraper City” appears in the big cities and the buildings can create a city by themselves with the name “Vertical City” and a range of high-end facilities. And when the height is no longer the limit, the “Vertical City” has the capacity to create a supply of almost unlimited space.

However unlike fiction films, today people still have to move down “land” for traffic and wait for the limited lift in a building. Especially, when the options for fire prevention are not keeping up with the high of buildings, staying safe in a “Vertical City” is still a challenge.
Global climate change and population growth
In 2016, the American Museum of Natural History published data on global population growth. While humanity spent nearly 200,000 years to reach 1 billion people, it took us only 200 years to develop our current population to reach 7.2 billion. In parallel with population growth, the United Nations’ 2014 report says the rate of urbanization is currently at 54% and reaching 60% by 2025, meaning that more than 700 million people will migrate to urban areas in the next 10 years.
In addition, the situation of climate change makes agricultural land which can be developed into urban areas is, significantly lost by the causes such as landslides, floods and it makes the land fund increasingly exhausted. These two problems have an inevitable consequence of “housing pressure” in most countries; facilitating the development of the “Vertical City” model mentioned above to serve this ultra-high rate of urbanization.
Ownership of Land Use Rights – Thinking not only in Vietnam
Vertical City is recognized as a symbol of the development of society. But it is the result of the rushing urbanization and housing solutions for the population. However, the rich still silently “gathered the land” because of the foresight of the land’s remarkable increase in value compared to other types.
For example, in Phu My Hung, buyers of villas here bought the property 20 years ago at very low prices. Over time, these villas are worth up to a million dollars but they are not much interested to sell because they believe in “finite land” and so the land value is still will continue to increase over time.
In the planning of Ho Chi Minh City, the East was developed lastly with the modern look. Particularly, District 9 will be an ecological urban area which is naturally favored by the canal system and the high proportion of trees, make housing market increase significantly and land demand. This area is always increase with time. Recently, decision 33 which was not allowed to separate the projects on 2,000 m2, but the project, has partly solved the problem of land delineation and land price control while the supply of townhouses – products that are in short supply.
Possess smart house, opportunities for the next generation rich
According to Frost & Sullivan’s study in Forbes magazine, the smart cities’ market is worth $ 1.5 trillion, the equivalent of Spain’s 2014 GDP – the 12th largest economy in the world.
Owning a smart home is one of the most influential movements in the world
Forbes has created eight strict elements of a smart city, and so far only Amsterdam (Netherlands) has scored in most categories. Due to the difficulty of building Smart City in large scale, leading technology groups focus on Smart City model in closed city projects. Smart City’s success comes from Panasonic’s pan-urban smartphone PanaHome.
Coming from the Netherlands – Smart City is the only standard in the world, Philips Electronics is also promoting the development of closed compound Street House projects to use this model, including SimCity Premier Homes at Q.9 developed by Anpha Holdings, which is the first intelligent city in Vietnam under the eight standards of Forbes. Anpha Holdings will develop high-level advisory councils from leading corporations and technology research institutes to ensure an international standard of Smart City model.
